Interior of the Kosovo Tribunal
Strict security requirements vital
Keijsers Interiors has been commissioned by BAM Construction and Engineering to construct the interior of the new location of the Kosovo tribunal. The new location, situated on the Raamweg in The Hague, consists of three buildings. Adjustments to these buildings were required in order to satisfy the court's needs and wishes, especially with regard to security.
A challenging project
Harm Jan Dob, project manager at Keijsers Interiors, is responsible for the project and told us how it is anything but a regular job. "The strict security requirements mean the furniture has to satisfy a variety of specific demands. For example, the furniture for the Kosovo tribunal must be made up of demountable elements to enable new configurations. Furthermore, to prevent reflections in camera shots, all materials must be mat and all movable components – such as doors – must be lockable. We will be working extremely hard on this project in the coming months as the court must be ready for use by spring 2018."Back
