From the beginning of 2020, all the public services managed by the municipality of Leiden have been located at one address: the Stadskantoor. The Municipal Office is located in the modern LEVEL building, near Leiden Central Station.
After we submitted our tender, we were very proud to have been chosen to provide the customised furniture. We worked with various parties, including Du Prie Bouw & Ontwikkeling, who carried out the renovation and Kraaijvanger architects who designed the custom interior.
The arrival of the new Municipal Office means all the Leiden municipality public services will soon be located in one, easily-accessible place in the city. This was a perfect opportunity to redesign the desks and meeting areas, and a self-service area has been included for visitors.
Not only was a welcoming and modern look chosen, but responsible and recycled materials were also used. This demonstrates why choosing Keijsers Interiors is such a good choice. We are FSC certified, which means the use of sustainable materials is an important part of the production process for us. In addition, the building will be made more sustainable by, for example, making use of heat-cold storage and water from the canal. The monumental atmosphere was returned insofar as this was possible while the facelift was carried out. The original courtyard was returned to a green garden.
