At Museum Volkenkunde – the National Museum of Ethnology – you can take a walking tour around the world. You can explore the entire globe and discover a host of countries without even leaving the building! The museum curates and presents historical treasures from all over the planet.

The foundations for this national collection were laid in 1816 and it has since grown to include over 200,000 artefacts, making it one of the most immense international treasure troves in the world. These artefacts have been conserved and studied using the very latest insights and techniques.

Keijsers was part of the design & build team. Together with the client and interior architect, we served as co-creator throughout the entire process, from design to realization of the interior elements. Keijsers furnished all of the exhibition halls and public areas in the museum.
