Following a stay in hospital, many patients are unable to return home straight away. As such, there is a rising demand for short-term nursing facilities in an environment that aids healing and rehabilitation. Our client Laurens needed an interior constructor who could create a welcoming and comfortable building with the look and feel of a hotel. The hotel concept was the key aspect, with a hospitable and therapeutic vibe.
The rehabilitation hotel has 160 rooms, including accommodation and sanitary facilities, treatment rooms, an outpatient clinic, catering facilities, a library annex, a meditation center and various workstations for staff and medical personnel. Together with the architect, we sought paneling and fabrics that perfectly suited the desired character: warm colors, comfortable fabrics and easy-to-wash materials.
